We use CEFR learning levels as a guide when discussing lesson goals. Your individual level and learning priorities are assessed with your tutor.
A1–A2 · Foundations

Lessons are delivered online to students living or working in Downtown Toronto. Verbum Academy is not advertising a walk-in classroom at a Downtown Toronto address.
Can I book lessons after work?
Tell us your preferred times in Toronto's Eastern Time zone. We will confirm available tutor slots before booking.
Do I need previous German experience?
No. Beginners of any age can start with basic vocabulary, introductions and short sentences. Learners with prior experience can focus on specific skills and higher-level goals.
Do you offer German tutoring for kids and teenagers?
Yes. Individual online sessions can focus on school vocabulary, speaking confidence, reading, writing and grammar, adapted to the student’s age and learning goals.
Is the first lesson free?
No. The first lesson is a paid private session. We will confirm the current rate and appointment details before you commit.
Who is eligible for the 90-day progress guarantee?
Only eligible adult learners. The proposed program requires 12 instructional hours each month for three consecutive months, documented practice, and an objective tutor review of completed requirements. The potential remedy is a partial future-lesson credit, subject to finalized written terms; no particular CEFR level or examination result is guaranteed.
